hawk.lane_position()

This lane’s position t in the launch, as a value: base + flat.

Equal to sample_index() in a plain launch. Under a lane set (Kind(..., lanes=IndexSet())) sample_index() is the lane the map names, map[t], and this is t itself, the slot a compacted output out[lane_position()] is written at.
